Explora Journeys Teams Up with Renowned Perfumer Alberto Morillas

Explora Journeys has unveiled a new partnership with Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, introducing a unique fragrance named Mandala Blue, as outlined in a press release.

Embodying the “Ocean State Of Mind” philosophy, Mandala Blue from Explora Journeys includes a mix of top notes such as Bergamot, Mandarin and Petitgrain Paraguay, middle notes of Jasmine, Tonka Bean and Orange Blossom, and foundational notes of Sea Amber, Guaiac Wood and Musk.

The fragrance will add a special atmosphere to the suites on Explora I, with the new scent diffused throughout the suites and bathroom amenities on the ship.

Alberto Morillas has an established career in perfume making spanning 50 years, during which he has created exquisite scents for brands including Cartier, Calvin Klein, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Bulgari, Mugler, Kenzo and Marc Jacobs.

When asked about the new fragrance, Morillas commented, “Creating a perfume is a form of storytelling; it should transport you. I have a deep love for the Mediterranean, and in Mandala Blue, you can detect bright, fresh sea notes blended with citrus from bergamot and mandarin and floral notes from jasmine and orange blossom, which take me back to springtime in Seville.

“The fragrance is intended to stimulate the senses and encourage a sense of exploration, encapsulating the musky aroma of warm sunshine on wood terraces, the fresh sea breeze, and the intoxicating scents of a European summer.”
