Latest Updates from Emerald Cruises

(March 15, 2024) — Active travel tour company Backroads has struck a partnership with Emerald Cruises to offer a Multi-Adventure Tour in the Mediterranean in 2025.

The sailing consists of a series of 8-day sailings from Athens to Dubrovnik aboard Emerald’s yachts, Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara. The voyages feature exclusive activities, like bike rides to the ruins of Delphi, hiking above the UNESCO Heritage Site of Kotor in Montenegro, and kayaking off the shore of the Greek island of Lefkada. Other stops in the itinerary include Itea, Parga and Corfu in Greece, and Sarandë in Albania.

Currently, this itinerary is being offered on five different dates in 2025, ranging from late April to September.

Backroads has been offering active tours with small cruise ships since 2015, when it partnered with AmaWaterways to offer options for travelers seeking river cruisers with a stronger wellness element.
