Introducing SSA Marine’s New Cruise Division: A Maritime Revolution

SSA Marine has announced the launch of a new, dedicated cruise division, as well as the appointment of cruise industry veteran Stefano Borzone as president, according to a company statement.

The statement mentioned that the new business unit focuses on SSA Marine’s distinctive service and partnership capabilities and provides a platform for future growth opportunities to meet the expanding needs of cruise lines and their customers.

Stefano Borzone, a veteran port operations and development executive, has held several high-ranking roles within Carnival Corporation, as well as a 13-year tenure with Metro Cruise Services, where he served as president. In his new position, Borzone will be in charge of all SSA Marine cruise operations, in collaboration with all joint venture partners, customers, and port authorities.

The new division will aim at expanding the company’s long-standing relationships with major cruise lines, and will focus on creating innovative, value generative solutions for its cruise, port, and destination partners. The division will maintain safety, labor relations, and sustainability initiatives as its key priorities.
