Genting Dream Makes Historic First Arrival at Phuket Deep Sea Port, Thailand

Resorts World Cruises announced that the 150,695 gross tonnage Genting Dream successfully completed her first berthing at the Phuket Deep Sea Port in Thailand on Wednesday, July 24, becoming the largest cruise ship to do so.

Genting Dream passengers on the 3-night Phuket Cruise from Singapore can now enjoy the convenience of disembarking and re-embarking directly at Phuket without the need for tender boats. This development allows passengers to maximize their stay in Phuket without worrying about tender boat schedules. The availability of a cruise terminal at the Phuket Deep Sea Port also opens new opportunities for Resorts World Cruises and Phuket, potentially serving as a cruise and clearance gateway for outbound passengers in the future, thus boosting local and regional cruise tourism.

To commemorate this milestone, a special event was held onboard the Genting Dream, attended by Resorts World Cruises management, including Captain Havard Ramsoy, Senior Vice President of Fleet Operations; Mr. Jerry Leong, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Ports; Captain Jukka Silvennoinen; and Captain Robert Bodin. They welcomed the Deputy Governor of Phuket, Adul Chuthong, and local authorities for a memento presentation.
