Windstar Reveals Exciting First Glimpse of Their New Cruise Ship, the Star Seeker

Windstar Cruises has announced the introduction of the Star Seeker, a new ship accommodating 224 guests, slated for its debut in January 2026.

The ship, presently being constructed in Portugal, will feature 112 suites, most of which will include a private veranda or floor-to-ceiling infinity window. The Star Seeker is set to offer five dining venues, a spa, a fitness center, and a redesigned Watersports Platform enhancing direct ocean access which creates an infinity pool effect, according to a company press release.

“Guests aboard Star Seeker will discover a tranquil sanctuary within their suites; crafted to serve as a haven for relaxation,” stated Stijn Creupelandt, vice president of hotel operations at Windstar Cruises.

“The interior design employs light wood and a calming color scheme of light blues, greens, and natural browns that mirror our Star Class design. This palette, inspired by the ocean, sky, and natural landscapes, fosters a peaceful environment ideal for retreats. Contrastingly, the ship’s public areas and dining venues are decorated with vibrant colors influenced by sunrises and sunsets, featuring warm yellows, golds, and oranges, blending elegance with comfort,” explained Creupelandt.

The Seeker will also introduce a new suite category, the Horizon Owner’s Suites, positioned at the ship’s stern on deck 7. These suites can be merged with adjoining rooms to accommodate larger groups.

The vessel will further include an assortment of 12 suite types, several accommodating three guests. There are 72 suites with extensive verandas, and 30 newly designed infinity suites featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened halfway to let in the ocean breeze.

The ship’s 10 Oceanview suites come equipped with walk-in mosaic glass showers and convertible queen beds. Every suite is furnished with a fully stocked minibar, interactive TV, safe, and other amenities. The upscale suite categories—Horizon, Star, Classic, and Deluxe—offer additional luxuries such as an Illy espresso machine, Canapes service, and fresh flowers.

The Star Seeker’s inaugural journey will commence in early January 2026 with a Transatlantic crossing from Malaga to Miami. After a christening event in Miami, the ship will initially serve the Caribbean followed by a complete season cruising Alaska on the U.S. West Coast. Subsequently, the itinerary includes visits to Japan and Southeast Asia. Further details will first be shared with Yacht Club members and travel advisors in early September before release to the general public, added the company.

Following the Star Seeker, Windstar is set to launch another sister ship, the Star Explorer, in December 2026.
