Carnival Vista Cruise Passengers Demand Refunds Following Unexpected Itinerary Alteration
A Carnival Cruise turned chaotic before even leaving port, as passengers demanded refunds following an unexpected itinerary change.
The Carnival Vista, scheduled for an 8-night Southern Caribbean voyage departing from Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida USA) on August 10th, encountered engine issues, prompting a last-minute switch to the Bahamas instead of the original stops in Aruba, Curacao, and Turks and Caicos.
Footage shared online shows passengers chanting, “Give us our money!” in frustration after learning of the change, some while still boarding the ship. Tensions rose as guests requested refunds and considered leaving the vessel.
In response, Carnival Cruise Line offered passengers a choice: remain onboard with a voucher and future cruise credit or disembark with a full refund.
