NCL-Norwegian Officially Named the Cruise Line Partner of the NHL-National Hockey League

NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line has teamed up with the National Hockey League (NHL) to forge a multiyear partnership, officially designating NCL as the NHL’s Official Cruise Line.

This exciting collaboration marks a first for both NCL, which has never partnered with a professional sports league before, and the NHL, which has not previously aligned with a cruise line.

<pThrough this agreement, NCL gains exclusive marketing rights and designations, allowing the cruise line to enhance its brand presence within the NHL’s vast marketing, digital, and social media channels.

As part of this partnership, NCL will sponsor the NHL’s weekly highlight reel of top goals, which culminates in the “Goal of the Year” award. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite plays and enter into a contest to win different prizes, including a free cruise with NCL. Additionally, the cruise line will host fan engagement activities at major events like the NHL All-Star Weekend, the NHL Stadium Series, and the NHL Winter Classic, as well as featuring signage in arenas and stadiums.

NCL will enjoy national exposure in the USA via ESPN and TNT, which will broadcast its brand through Digitally Enhanced Dasherboards (DED). This innovative advertising method will be used during the regular NHL season and the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The cruise line will also serve as the presenting sponsor for the “First Goal of the Game,” with its branding prominently displayed in DED content across all broadcasts on ESPN and TNT and in virtual in-ice advertisements during games. The partnership is effective immediately.
