Global Ports Holding Steps Up Assistance Following Spain’s Flooding Crisis
Global Ports Holding (GPH) has pledged €250,000 to aid in relief efforts following devastating floods in Valencia, Spain. This donation, directed to the Valencia Government, is aimed at supporting search, rescue, and reconstruction initiatives for the communities hardest hit by the disaster.
The funding comes as the Spanish government has mobilized significant resources, with 2,000 soldiers, 2,500 Civil Guard members, and 1,800 national police officers deployed to assist in the crisis. GPH expressed its ongoing commitment to assist local communities during challenging times.
Javier Rodriguez Sanchez, the GPH regional director for the West Med and Asia, stated, “Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragedy. We are committed to standing with our communities in times of crisis and are grateful to the rescue teams, volunteers, and local authorities who are working tirelessly to bring relief to the region.”
In addition to the monetary contribution, GPH is encouraging its port network to join in on the support for Valencia’s recovery efforts.
