Ritz-Carlton’s Ilma Sets Sail: Launching Spectacular Caribbean Cruises from San Juan
Ritz-Carlton’s latest megayacht, Ilma, has made its debut in the Caribbean, arriving in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The vessel, part of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, will be based in San Juan for the winter season, offering a total of 11 sailings until March 2025.
With a capacity of 448 passengers, Ilma features 224 all-suite accommodations, ranging from the compact 294-ft² Terrace Suite to the luxurious 1,033-ft² Owner’s Suite. Each suite is equipped with upscale amenities, including king-sized bed sleep systems, modern bathrooms with double vanities, espresso machines, and dedicated concierge service.
Guests can enjoy a refined experience with five dining venues and six bars and lounges, aimed at creating an intimate atmosphere described by the Ritz-Carlton as a "private oasis at sea."
This marks the second yacht in Ritz-Carlton’s fleet, following the successful launch of Evrima, which introduced the luxury small-ship cruising segment for the brand. Carlos Mercado Santiago, the executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, emphasized the importance of San Juan’s inclusion in Ilma’s itineraries, noting its contribution to boosting Puerto Rico’s tourism and economic growth through enhanced luxury travel options.
The Ilma’s itineraries are seven-night round trips, with prices starting from $9,700 per person. The journeys include stops at several destinations, including St John Island (BVI), St Maarten Island, St Kitts Island, Terre-de-Haut (Guadeloupe), and Les Trois-Ilets (Martinique).
