Ambassador Unveils Three Exciting New Entertainment Initiatives

Ambassador Cruise Line has exciting plans for its upcoming entertainment offerings, announcing three new initiatives set to debut soon.

One highlight is the themed "Back to the 80s" sailing planned for the Benelux Coastal Explorer route in May 2025. Departing from the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury on May 1, this four-night cruise aboard the Ambience promises a delightful throwback to the 1980s. Passengers can expect themed cabaret shows, nostalgic menus, fancy-dress competitions, and workout classes inspired by the vibrant era. The entertainment lineup will feature performances by notable artists like Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston from The Fizz, as well as Toyah Wilcox. Excursions will include stops in Zeebrugge, Belgium, and Ijmuiden, Netherlands, with prices starting at £539 per person for Saver Fares.

In December 2024, the cruise line will introduce the Retro Rock Rebellion, an immersive theater show onboard the Ambition. Set within the ambiance of an American biker bar, the show will showcase aspiring rock stars as they display their talents.

Additionally, Ambassador is launching the PEEL Playwriting Challenge 2025, in partnership with PEEL Entertainment Group. Starting January 15, 2025, the contest invites both seasoned and emerging playwrights to submit their original works for a chance to have a play staged on board as a part of Ambassador’s Theatre@Sea program. Shortlisted playwrights will see their scripts performed on an Ambassador ship, with the winner receiving a £6,000 cash prize and a complimentary cruise for two in 2026. Submissions will close on April 4, 2025, and the winner will be announced in December 2025.
