Celestyal Marks Historic Maiden Call in Dubai: A New Era in Cruising Adventures
Celestyal has officially celebrated its first entry into Dubai, marked by a ceremonial dhow escort, plaque exchange, and an onboard party, as announced in a recent press release. The celebration occurred on December 9, where traditional dhows guided the Celestyal Journey into port, symbolizing a blend of tradition and new beginnings.
The event hosted local dignitaries and influencers, who were treated to a night of entertainment, which included performances by artist Tinie and DJ Charlesy. This maiden call also kicked off the ship’s seven-day "Desert Days" itinerary, featuring stops at Khasab, Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Bahrain.
“Our inaugural call in Dubai signifies a pivotal moment for us,” stated Lee Haslett, Celestyal’s Chief Commercial Officer. He emphasized the excitement around this new venture, highlighting the importance of Dubai as a destination known for its culture and unique experiences.
Celestyal is set for multiple voyages in the Arabian Gulf through March 2025 and has plans to return for three consecutive years, with the addition of the Celestyal Discovery in late 2025. This vessel will introduce three-night weekend cruises and four-night mid-week cruises from Abu Dhabi, visiting destinations such as Doha, Sir Bani Yas, Fujairah, Muscat, and Khasab.
The Celestyal Journey will continue to operate seven-night cruises departing from various cities, including Qatar’s Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.
