Tauck Travel USA Unveils Exciting New Seine River Holiday Cruise Itinerary for 2025
Tauck Travel USA has revealed an exciting addition to its holiday cruise offerings for 2025, introducing a new itinerary for its Seine River cruises. This marks the company’s first themed journey during the holiday season on the Seine, enhancing its existing river cruising operations in France.
The 8-day journey kicks off with three days and two nights in Paris, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the city’s festive atmosphere. Visitors will have the chance to explore renowned Christmas markets, particularly in the Tuileries Garden, where they can shop for local crafts and enjoy seasonal treats like mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, cheeses, chocolates, and sausages. In addition, guests may choose to visit the Cluny Museum, showcasing medieval art, or admire the stunning 13th-century stained glass windows at Sainte-Chapelle.
After enjoying Paris, the cruise proceeds to Rouen, Les Andelys, and Vernon. Highlights include a private tour and holiday cocktail party at the Chateau de Bizy, an 18th-century estate immaculately decorated for the festive season and still owned by a descendant of Napoleon. Additionally, travelers will savor a private lunch and afternoon tea at the opulent Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte, a 100-room palace surrounded by meticulously designed gardens.
While in Normandy, guests can visit more Christmas markets and opt for guided excursions to the historic D-Day beaches or the Rouen Fine Arts Museum.
Tauck will operate five departures of the "Seine: Holiday Magic" cruise aboard the MS Swiss Sapphire, with prices starting at $4,490 per person. This new offering joins Tauck’s established holiday market-themed river cruises along the Danube, Rhine, and the waterways of Belgium and Holland.
The introduction of the Seine itinerary aligns with Tauck’s ongoing expansion of its river cruise services in France. Recently, the company announced plans to launch two new riverboats, with capacities for 130 and 124 passengers, set to debut in the 2026 season, servicing both the Rhone and Seine Rivers.
