CCL-Carnival Cruise Line Marks 55th Anniversary with Exciting Ship Meetups in 2027

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line is preparing to celebrate its 55th anniversary in 2027 by hosting a series of special ship meetups aboard select cruises. These gatherings will be incorporated into 11 unique itineraries that focus on the Bahamas and Caribbean, including festivities near CCL’s private islands, Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay.

The anniversary cruises will offer itineraries ranging from 3 to 8 days. During each meetup event, participating ships will host simultaneous celebrations on the Lido deck, featuring a range of themed activities such as party games, trivia, dessert buffets, specialty cocktails, and festive birthday cakes available at their restaurants. Notably, the Carnival Legend will join in two of the three scheduled meetups.

Below are the meetup dates and participating CCL ships:

March 9, 2027, at Celebration Key

March 10, 2027, at Half Moon Cay

March 13, 2027, at Celebration Key

Since its inception in 1972 with one ship from PortMiami, CCL has expanded significantly, now operating a fleet of 27 vessels from more U.S. homeports than any other cruise line. By spring 2025, this number is expected to increase to 29 ships, with plans for further growth. The 55th-anniversary festivities will also mark the debut of a new Excel-class ship in 2027, starting a new chapter of expansion. The brand anticipates adding four more vessels by 2033, solidifying its position as a leading player in the cruise industry.
