Norwegian Cruise Line Unveils Exciting Refurbishments for Bliss and Breakaway in 2025

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is set to undertake significant refurbishments on its ships, Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Breakaway, with the work scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. These enhancements aim to elevate the onboard experience and expand amenities for passengers.

Starting with Norwegian Bliss, the drydock period will run from January 17th to February 2nd, 2025. The updates include the introduction of Horizon Park, an outdoor venue that will feature lawn-style games and lounging areas with ocean views. The Haven will also see expanded accommodations, now offering three-bedroom suites with luxury features. Dining options will be revamped too; Cagney’s Steakhouse will take over the space previously occupied by Los Lobos, while Teppanyaki will replace Coco’s. Ocean Blue will transform into Palomar, a seafood specialty dining venue.

Following its refurbishments, Norwegian Bliss will embark on a 13-day relocation voyage from Southampton to Miami on February 2nd, 2025, thereafter offering itineraries in the Western Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, and Alaska starting in April.

Norwegian Breakaway will enter drydock from February 19th to March 14th, 2025. Key updates for Breakaway include the introduction of the Silver Screen Bistro, featuring a movie and dining experience alongside Horizon Park and a family-oriented area called The Stadium. Dining venues will also see changes, such as Cagney’s Steakhouse replacing Moderno Churrascaria.

Once enhancements are completed, Norwegian Breakaway will embark on Mediterranean cruises, visiting popular destinations like Florence/Pisa, Cannes, and Corfu.

NCL’s 2025 cruise itineraries also promise tropical vacations across the Caribbean and the Bahamas, offering departure options from Miami, New York, and San Juan. The itineraries will include highlights like NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, featuring a new pier set to open by late 2025.

Starting January 2025, travelers can take advantage of NCL’s More At Sea package, which includes premium upgrades like open bar options and enhanced Wi-Fi powered by Starlink, alongside seasonal holiday promotional offers.
