NCL Announces Exciting Refurbishments for Bliss and Breakaway in 2025!

NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line has announced extensive refurbishments for its ships Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Breakaway, scheduled for 2025. These upgrades aim to enhance onboard experiences and expand amenities during the drydock renovations.

Norwegian Bliss will undergo drydocking from January 17th to February 2nd, 2025, featuring several notable updates:

• Horizon Park: A new outdoor space designed for gatherings, equipped with lawn games like cornhole and giant Jenga, alongside sunbathing loungers and ocean views.
• Upgraded Accommodations: The Haven by Norwegian will be expanded to include new three-bedroom suites, featuring a dining room and refurbished living spaces. Additionally, more balcony staterooms will be created.
• Dining Enhancements: The ship will see a shift in dining venues, including the replacement of Los Lobos with Cagney’s Steakhouse, Teppanyaki taking the place of Coco’s, and Ocean Blue transforming into Palomar, a seafood specialty dining option.

Following its renovation, Norwegian Bliss will embark on a 13-day journey from Southampton to Miami starting February 2, 2025, and will continue with various itineraries in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Alaska.

Norwegian Breakaway will enter drydock from February 19th to March 14th, 2025. Key updates for this ship include:

• Silver Screen Bistro: A novel dining space replacing the Spiegel Tent, offering oversized recliners and a menu inspired by Food Republic.
• Horizon Park: Similar to Bliss, this outdoor area will feature ocean views and an expansive stage for entertainment.
• The Stadium: A family-friendly outdoor activities area.
• Revamped Dining Venues: Cagney’s Steakhouse will replace Moderno Churrascaria, while a transition to Palomar will occur for Ocean Blue.
• Expanded Outdoor Spaces: Additional seating and cabanas will be added to The Vibe Beach Club and The Haven Sundeck.

Upon completion of the refurbishments, Norwegian Breakaway will set sail for Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and Venice, visiting ports such as Florence/Pisa, Cannes, and Corfu.

NCL’s 2025 itineraries will also include tropical cruises throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas from various embarkation ports including Miami, New York, and San Juan. Highlights will encompass visits to destinations like St. John’s, Antigua, Puerto Plata, and NCL’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay, which will feature a new pier by late 2025.

Travelers can take advantage of the new More At Sea package starting January 2025, which will include premium open bar options, specialty dining credits, and enhanced Wi-Fi powered by Starlink, along with seasonal promotions for holiday bookings.
