Search Concludes for Missing 51-Year-Old Man Overboard from NCL’s Norwegian Epic Ship
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced that a search for a 51-year-old male passenger who went overboard from the Norwegian Epic has concluded without success. The incident occurred on December 26th while the ship was traveling from Ocho Rios, Jamaica, to Nassau, Bahamas, during a 7-night Western Caribbean voyage that began from Port Canaveral, Florida.
The man, who was part of a larger group onboard, fell overboard around 3:00 p.m. NCL reported that they promptly informed the necessary authorities, leading to a rescue operation coordinated by the Bahamas Rescue Coordination Center. Despite the extensive search efforts, the passenger was not found, and the ship was cleared to continue its journey.
NCL has offered its condolences to the family of the passenger, who were also present on the cruise, and have provided them with support during this difficult time.
