CCL-Carnival 2025: Honoring Our Heroes with Military Appreciation and Times Square Spectacle
CCL-Carnival Cruise Line celebrated its fourth consecutive year participating in New York’s Times Square New Year’s Eve festivities, showcasing its commitment to honoring military service members and their families. The event included notable Medal of Honor Recipients Jack Jacobs and Earl Plumlee, who were joined by Chris Cassidy, the CEO of the National Medal of Honor Museum, and Carnival’s Senior Vice President Sarah Beth Reno.
On December 31st, Plumlee was involved in the ceremonial ball lighting test, while Jacobs activated the switch for the midnight countdown. As the official cruise line sponsor of the New Year’s Eve celebration and Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025, Carnival demonstrated its ongoing dedication to military appreciation through various initiatives and events on its cruises.
Christine Duffy, the President of CCL, expressed pride in honoring military heroes during such significant celebrations. She also highlighted the exciting year ahead, particularly with the scheduled opening of Celebration Key in Grand Bahama, which aims to provide a unique destination experience for guests.
