Zuiderdam Sets Sail: Holland America’s Spectacular Grand World Voyage Begins

The Zuiderdam has set sail from Port Everglades for Holland America Line’s 2025 Grand World Voyage. This ambitious 124-night itinerary includes must-see destinations like Machu Picchu, Easter Island, and the Great Barrier Reef, encompassing ports in 34 different countries.

During the journey, passengers will enjoy six overnight stays in breathtaking locations such as Tahiti, Sydney, Cape Town, and Barcelona. The voyage begins with stops in the Caribbean before crossing the Panama Canal.

The ship will then head south to South America and the South Pacific, visiting Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and French Polynesia. Prominent ports of call include Manta, Easter Island, Callao, Moorea, and Raiatea. Following Polynesia, the itinerary continues to destinations in Melanesia, including Tonga and New Caledonia, before arriving in Australia.

In late February, the Zuiderdam will make its way to Southeast Asia with stops in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. On the return journey to the United States, the ship will visit various Indian Ocean destinations, such as the Maldives, Seychelles, and Mauritius, as well as South Africa, Cape Verde, Namibia, and the Canary Islands before entering the Mediterranean.

After exploring the United Kingdom, Spain, Malta, Egypt, Italy, Portugal, and Morocco, the Zuiderdam will finally cross the Atlantic, stopping in San Juan, Puerto Rico, before returning to Fort Lauderdale on May 9, 2025.

Alongside the Grand World Voyage on the Zuiderdam, Holland America will also offer a second world cruise in 2025 onboard the Volendam, with the Pole to Pole Grand Voyage departing from Port Everglades on January 25, 2025.
