Disney Cruise Line Announces Sailing Cancellations and Exciting New Ship Updates

Due to unexpected changes in the dry dock schedule for the Disney Fantasy, Disney Cruise Line has announced the cancellation of several fall 2025 sailings. Specifically, four voyages originally scheduled between October 20 and November 12, 2025, have been axed. Instead of returning from a 13-night transatlantic cruise from Southampton, England, the Disney Fantasy will extend its stay in dry dock. Three additional Bahamas cruises planned for November from Port Canaveral have also been cancelled.

As a result of these cancellations, there is now an itinerary void for the Disney Fantasy from September 29, 2025, until November 16, 2025. Passengers who are affected by these changes received an email from the cruise line, which states that a revised 13-night westbound transatlantic cruise would be available for booking starting on February 6, 2025.

In compensation for the cancellations, affected passengers will receive a full refund as well as a 20% discount for future cruises. This credit can be applied to the newly scheduled transatlantic cruise, alternative Bahamas sailings, or most other Disney cruises departing on or before February 6, 2027. However, this discount does not apply to maiden voyage sailings, such as the inaugural journey of the new Disney Destiny cruise ship.

This document provides insights into the shipbuilding process and highlights new features expected onboard, including themed experiences inspired by iconic Disney characters.
