
Oceania Cruises Introduces Jacques Restaurant on the New Allura Ship
Oceania Cruises is enhancing its dining experience by introducing its renowned French restaurant, Jacques, aboard its new ship, Allura, set to launch in mid-July 2025. Named after celebrated chef Jacques Pepin, Jacques will carry forward the culinary legacy established on Oceania’s Marina and Riviera ships.
Notably, Jacques will find a home on Oceania’s Vista sister ship as well, which will commence operations in October 2025. This restaurant will replace the Ember restaurant and will be alongside other dining options like Polo Grill, Toscana, and Red Ginger, accommodating over 1,200 guests.
Frank A. Del Rio, Oceania Cruises’ President, emphasized Jacques’ integral role in their culinary philosophy, referring to it as “the heart” of their gastronomic offerings. Executive Culinary Directors Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale will partner with Chef Pepin to craft new recipes while perfecting beloved classic dishes.
The menu is set to feature signature items such as duck with Grand Marnier-infused orange sauce and veal medallions with morel sauce, alongside classic French desserts including Crêpes Suzette and profiteroles. Guests will also enjoy tableside service for certain dishes like beef tartare, all enhanced with new crockery and glassware to elevate the dining experience.
Del Rio noted that adding Jacques to both Allura and Vista not only pays homage to Oceania’s culinary heritage but also reflects a dedication to advancing dining experiences in the cruise industry.
