Celebrity Cruises Unveils ‘The Bazaar’: An Exciting New Dining Experience on the Celebrity Xcel Ship
Celebrity Cruises has introduced ‘The Bazaar,’ a unique multi-level venue on the upcoming Celebrity Xcel ship, which aims to blend onboard and local cultural experiences. This three-story area will transform daily, featuring local artisan markets, destination-themed festivals, culinary delights inspired by the regions visited, and specialized entertainment designed to immerse guests in the cultures of their cruise destinations.
During its inaugural Caribbean season, The Bazaar will host four festivals celebrating local culture through food, crafts, music, and performances that align with the ship’s itinerary. Once the ship transitions to European routes in 2026, the focus will shift to Mediterranean-inspired festivals and experiences.
On days at sea, The Bazaar’s Market will showcase local artisans who will demonstrate their crafts and lead workshops. Guests can participate in activities such as rum and chocolate pairings, hot sauce tastings, and basket weaving, with opportunities to buy unique souvenirs like Caribbean masks and embroidered textiles.
The culinary aspect of The Bazaar will be highlighted by Mosaic, an open kitchen concept providing dishes reflective of the ship’s destinations. An industry-first Chef’s Table experience will feature a multi-course dinner designed by Celebrity’s culinary team, paired with selections from an awarded wine collection. Additionally, the Chef’s Studio at Mosaic will serve as the first destination-inspired cooking school at sea, offering guests hands-on lessons in local cuisine corresponding to each festival theme.
Another casual dining option, Spice, will offer a rotating menu of bites inspired by the cruise itinerary, all while guests enjoy expansive views through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Celebrity Cruises is also introducing the Xcel Dream Makers program, where guests can influence culinary, entertainment, and design choices for The Bazaar by participating in polls and voting on themes and activities.
Celebrity Xcel’s inaugural season will be homeported at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, providing 7-night Caribbean itineraries. In summer 2026, the ship will shift to Europe, offering 7- to 11-night Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona, Spain, and Piraeus, Greece, including overnight stays in Funchal, Madeira.
