Cyprus is gearing up for a significant boost in cruise activity, with projections forecasting a 30% rise in ship arrivals by 2025. According to Deputy Shipping Minister Marina Hadjimanolis, 139 vessels are scheduled to dock at Limassol Port, with 26 of them set to operate as homeports.

Hadjimanolis pointed out that the decision to use Limassol for embarkation and disembarkation highlights the confidence in Cyprus as a cruise destination. She also acknowledged that this increase not only supports the country’s economy but enhances its standing as a safe and stable choice for travelers worldwide.

The Deputy Minister noted the positive economic effects that an increase in cruise traffic would have, benefiting both tourism and shipping sectors.
