A Sneak Peek into ‘The Bazaar’: Celebrity Cruises’ New Culinary Experience on the Celebrity Xcel Ship

Celebrity Cruises has unveiled an exciting new venue named "The Bazaar" aboard its upcoming ship, the Celebrity Xcel. This unique three-level space is designed to bridge the gap between onboard activities and local cultural experiences, offering guests a dynamic environment that evolves throughout their voyage.

The Bazaar will feature a variety of markets showcasing local artisan products and host destination-themed festivals that highlight the cultures of the ports the ship visits. The first festivals on offer will celebrate four Caribbean destinations, incorporating local food, crafts, music, and performances. In 2026, as the ship shifts to European routes, Mediterranean markets and festivals will take center stage.

On days at sea, The Bazaar will come alive with local artisans demonstrating their crafts, alongside interactive workshops for guests. Activities may include rum and chocolate pairings, hot sauce tastings, and basket weaving. Visitors will also have the chance to buy unique souvenirs, such as Caribbean masks and embroidered items.

Food lovers will find plenty to enjoy with options that reflect the regions the ship travels to. The Bazaar will feature an open kitchen concept called Mosaic, where dishes inspired by travel itineraries will be served. An industry-first Chef’s Table experience will present a multi-course menu crafted by Celebrity’s culinary experts, paired with selections from the cruise line’s award-winning wine list. Additionally, a culinary school called Chef’s Studio will allow guests to learn about and prepare regional dishes.

A casual dining venue named Spice will feature a rotating selection of dishes inspired by the ship’s itinerary, all enjoyed in a seating area with panoramic sea and port views.

Celebrity Cruises is also launching the Xcel Dream Makers initiative, allowing guests to have a say in the festival themes, activities, and menu options for The Bazaar. Participants can register to vote on their preferences and influence the experience.

The Celebrity Xcel is set to homeport in Port Everglades, Florida, where it will offer seven-night Caribbean itineraries. In the summer of 2026, it will debut European routes with seven to eleven-night Mediterranean cruises departing from Barcelona and Piraeus (Athens), including overnight stops in Funchal (Madeira, Portugal).
