CroisiEurope Joins CLIA as a River Cruise Marketing Affiliate for the Australasia Market
One of Europe’s leading river cruise companies, CroisiEurope, has officially joined the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) as a River Cruise Marketing Affiliate for the Australasian region. This new partnership will allow CroisiEurope Australasia to be prominently featured within CLIA’s extensive network of over 6,000 travel agents across Australia and New Zealand, enhancing its visibility among top cruise operators and industry partners.
Joel Katz, Managing Director for CLIA Australasia, acknowledged CroisiEurope’s significance in the river cruising sector over the last 50 years. He noted that the brand’s inclusion comes at a time when interest in river cruises is on the rise among both travelers and travel agents. Similarly, Naidah Yazdani, CroisiEurope’s Asia Pacific Director, expressed enthusiasm about strengthening ties with the Australasian travel trade. She highlighted the company’s dedication to offering travelers exclusive access to unique destinations and competitive itineraries, pointing out that international markets currently contribute to roughly half of CroisiEurope’s business. This strategic move aims to expand the company’s reach in Australasia, complementing its existing operations in the US and UK.
Since its founding in 1976 by Gerard Schmitter, CroisiEurope has been a pioneer on the Rhine and has broadened its fleet to include 50 ships, offering an array of all-inclusive packages and services that embody the French spirit. The CroisiEurope Australia team is expected to actively engage in various CLIA Australasia events throughout the year, reinforcing the company’s commitment to growing its presence in the region.
