Amanda Frasier, president of Standards & Ratings at Forbes Travel Guide, noted the significant advances in cruise dining, with many lines making substantial investments in both the aesthetics and offerings of their onboard restaurants. Collaborations with renowned chefs and high-quality ingredients have become more common, offering cruise guests dining experiences on par with top land-based restaurants.

For the inaugural Star Ratings in cruise dining, inspectors conducted in-person assessments at various restaurants to evaluate them against rigorous standards focusing on service. The newly recognized venues encompass both specialty and all-inclusive dining options, enhancing the overall culinary landscape of cruise travel.

Recently rated establishments, such as Fine Cut Steakhouse and the Dining Room, achieved Four-Star ratings, while others like Candles and The Grill received the Recommended award. These venues set themselves apart with exceptional menus that often feature locally sourced ingredients and creative culinary offerings, catering to diverse tastes and preferences.
