MSC Launches New Cruise Terminal at the Port of Barcelona, Spain

MSC Cruises has officially launched its new Terminal H at the Port of Barcelona’s Moll Adossat, welcoming its first guests on February 15th, 2025. The initial arrivals came from the MSC Fantasia, which docked with over 4,000 passengers after its journey from Rades, Tunisia.

The terminal, designed by the Ricardo Bofill Architecture Studio, spans 12,500 square meters and involved an investment of approximately EUR 50 million. It is anticipated to handle around four cruise operations weekly, summing up to nearly 190 port calls each year.

MSC Cruises emphasized that Terminal H merges elegant architecture with an improved passenger experience, facilitating more efficient boarding and disembarking processes. An official inauguration ceremony is planned for the coming months.

Passengers were greeted upon arrival by MSC Terminal Director, Sandra Yunta, and Gianluca Suprani, Vice President of Global Ports and Shore Activities for MSC Cruises.

This terminal is set to be a central hub for MSC Cruises, which boasts a fleet of 22 vessels and maintains a prominent position in the European market. Moreover, it will cater to ships from Explora Journeys, MSC’s luxury cruise brand.
