MSC Unveils the World’s Largest Cruise Terminal at PortMiami
MSC Cruises has inaugurated the MSC Miami Cruise Terminal at PortMiami, Florida, on February 8th, marking a significant advancement in the cruise industry’s infrastructure. The terminal, which welcomed its inaugural vessel, the MSC Seascape, is designed to accommodate up to three ships simultaneously, with a capacity to process as many as 36,000 passengers each day.
This state-of-the-art facility is a collaborative effort between MSC, PortMiami, and Miami-Dade County, brought to life through the architectural vision of Arquitectonica and constructed by Fincantieri Infrastructure. In 2025, MSC plans to homeport four ships at this new terminal: Seascape, Divina, Seaside, and the newly debuting MSC World America in April.
Additionally, MSC’s luxury brand, Explora Journeys, will also utilize the terminal for its cruises, further elevating PortMiami as a pivotal hub for the global cruise industry. Construction of this terminal began in March 2022, significantly enhancing the port’s capacity to cater to the growing demands of cruise travelers.
