MSC Unveils New Cruise Terminal at the Port of Barcelona: A Gateway to the Mediterranean
MSC Cruises has inaugurated Terminal H, a new cruise terminal at the Port of Barcelona’s Moll Adossat. The terminal welcomed its first guests on February 15, 2025, as the MSC Fantasia arrived from the Tunisian port of Rades with over 4,000 passengers onboard.
This state-of-the-art terminal, designed by Ricardo Bofill Architecture Studio, spans 12,500 square meters and represents a significant investment of approximately EUR 50 million. It is expected to handle around four cruises per week, culminating in roughly 190 cruise calls annually.
MSC Cruises emphasized that Terminal H is crafted to merge elegant design with enhanced passenger experiences, streamlining both embarkation and disembarkation. An official inauguration ceremony for the terminal is set to take place in the forthcoming months.
Upon the ship’s arrival, passengers were greeted by MSC Terminal Director Sandra Yunta and Gianluca Suprani, MSC Cruises’ Vice President for Global Ports and Shore Activities.
Terminal H is poised to become a vital hub for MSC Cruises, which operates a fleet of 22 vessels and holds a strong position within the European cruise market. The terminal will also accommodate ships from Explora Journeys, MSC’s luxury cruise brand.
