Embark on a Journey: Silversea’s Silver Whisper Sets Sail on a 70-Day Grand Voyage Through Asia

On February 15th, the Silver Whisper embarked on a remarkable 70-day Grand Voyage from Singapore, visiting 37 destinations across eight countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and Singapore. This journey highlights the rich cultural and culinary heritage of Asia, complemented by special events and enrichment programs onboard.

For the first time on a Silversea Grand Voyage in Asia, guests will enjoy culinary excursions through the Sea and Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) program. This includes a Michelin-starred chef-led culinary adventure in Bangkok, exploring local food traditions in Aomori, and learning about kaiseki dining in Hakodate. Additional unique experiences consist of a traditional junk boat ride in Ha Long Bay, a journey on Shanghai’s high-speed Maglev train, and a teppanyaki dinner with a view of Tokyo at night.

The itinerary features a full circumnavigation of Japan, with stops in major cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kanazawa, and Kobe. To enhance the voyage, three exclusive events have been organized for the Grand Voyage guests:

• Bon Voyage Reception in Singapore (February 14th): Before setting sail, travelers participated in a private reception at the Andaz Glasshouse, where they mingled with fellow guests to kick off the journey.

• Secrets of Japan’s Cultural Center in Kyoto (March 25th): Travelers will take the Shinkansen bullet train from Osaka to Kyoto, where they will explore the Sanjusangendo Temple and enjoy an exclusive luncheon featuring a Geisha. The experience will culminate with a cultural visit at the historic Kosho-Ji temple before heading back to the ship.
