MSC Cruises Strengthens Formula 1 Involvement with New BWT Alpine Partnership
MSC Cruises has significantly increased its involvement in Formula 1 by entering a multi-year partnership with the BWT Alpine team. This collaboration allows MSC to become a premium partner of Alpine, featuring its branding on the team’s A525 race cars during the 2025 season. This partnership complements MSC’s existing role as a global partner in Formula 1, where it has also taken on the title sponsorship for three Grand Prix events set to take place in Austria, the United States, and Brazil in the upcoming season. Previously, MSC sponsored races in Japan, Belgium, and Italy.
Additionally, MSC’s luxury travel brand, Explora Journeys, will also have a presence at the Monaco Grand Prix next year. Pierfrancesco Vago, MSC’s Executive Chairman, noted that the increasing global popularity of Formula 1 has spurred the cruise line to deepen its involvement by partnering with a team, showcasing their commitment to high-profile sports events.
Beyond its partnership with MSC, Alpine has been active in securing other sponsorships, including agreements with superfoods brand Oakberry and renewing its partnership with Eurodatacar, a French automotive anti-theft marking company.
Meanwhile, Scuderia Ferrari has announced a partnership with Ambipar, a provider of environmental solutions, which aims to incorporate sustainability initiatives into the team’s operations as it strives for carbon neutrality by 2030. Ferrari has also entered into a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Vantage Markets, an asset trading platform.
The 2025 Formula 1 season is set to kick off on March 16 in Melbourne, Australia.
