MSC Cruises Strengthens Formula 1 Footprint with BWT Alpine Partnership

MSC Cruises has officially deepened its ties with Formula 1 by entering into a multi-year partnership with the BWT Alpine team. This collaboration positions MSC as a premium partner, joining other notable brands such as H. Moser & Cie, Renault E-Tech, and Eni, while falling just below BWT, the team’s title sponsor. As part of this partnership, MSC’s branding will be prominently featured on Alpine’s A525 race cars throughout the 2025 racing season.

This new alliance enhances MSC’s existing presence in Formula 1, where it has already been a global partner. The cruise line has taken on an even more significant role by becoming the title sponsor for three Grand Prix events in Austria, the United States, and Brazil for the upcoming season, building on its previous sponsorships in Japan, Belgium, and Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region.

The collaboration extends to MSC’s luxury travel brand, Explora Journeys, which is also scheduled to feature at the Monaco Grand Prix next year. Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC, noted that the rising global popularity of Formula 1 has prompted the company to escalate its involvement in the sport.

In related news, Alpine has been quite active commercially as well, securing new sponsorship agreements with brands like Oakberry and renewing its deal with Eurodatacar, a French automotive anti-theft marking company. On the other hand, Scuderia Ferrari has announced a partnership withAmbipar, which focuses on integrating sustainability initiatives and aims for carbon neutrality by 2030, and has also signed a new sponsorship with Vantage Markets.

The 2025 Formula 1 season is set to kick off on March 16th in Melbourne, Australia.
