Aroya Set to Make Mediterranean Debut This June

Aroya Cruises is set to expand its operations by launching summer itineraries in the Eastern Mediterranean starting this June. The vessel, which began its service in the Red Sea in late 2024, will reposition from Jeddah to Istanbul, embarking on a series of seven-night cruises that will explore Greece and Turkey.

The cruise schedule includes twelve sailings from late June to mid-September, along with two repositioning voyages. Destinations on the itinerary encompass notable ports such as Mykonos, Chania, Piraeus, Rhodes, Kusadasi, and Antalya. Once the Mediterranean season concludes, the Aroya will return to the Red Sea in late September, also making stops in Egypt at Port Suez and Sharm El Sheikh.

Originally acquired by Cruise Saudi in March 2023, the Aroya was formerly operated under Genting Hong Kong’s Dream Cruises brand and underwent significant refurbishment to prepare for its launch with Aroya Cruises. The ship now boasts new dining venues, lounges, and a retail area, which is claimed to be the largest shopping district at sea, spanning 1,585 square meters.

Since commencing its service in December, Aroya has offered itineraries that include destinations in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt, with future plans indicating potential expansions to include more ports in the Arabian Gulf, covering areas in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain.
