Dover Cruise Port Gears Up for an Exciting 2025 Season

Dover Cruise Port is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, set to begin next month. This year, the port will see eight inaugural ship arrivals and will serve as the embarkation hub for seven cruise lines, facilitating travel to a wide array of international destinations, including the Nordic/Baltic, Mediterranean, Adriatic coasts, British Isles, and parts of Continental Europe.

Carnival Cruise Line has highlighted the benefits of departing from Dover, particularly the efficient embarkation and solid transport links to London. The Carnival Miracle is scheduled to operate roundtrip itineraries from Dover in 2025, while the Carnival Legend is scheduled to sail from the port in 2026, reflecting the company’s commitment to this location.

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines will also make a notable return, with the Borealis embarking on six voyages starting May 28, 2025. These itineraries will take guests to locations such as the Norwegian Fjords, Croatia, the Azores, and Iceland. Passengers will have opportunities to experience unique cultural and natural attractions, including flower cultivation in Madeira and scenic cruising along the Dalmatian Coast and the Bay of Kotor, as well as a five-night introduction to the Norwegian Fjords—perfect for first-time cruisers.

Dover Cruise Port welcomes over 20 cruise lines each year, handling both turnaround operations and port-of-call visits, and can accommodate up to 8,000 passengers during peak weekends. Its advantageous location on the UK’s high-speed rail network allows direct access to London in just over an hour, complemented by extensive road and public transport options. The cruise terminals also feature dedicated parking for embarking guests, alongside shuttle services from Dover Priory train station.

With a diverse lineup of upcoming cruise calls and expanded itineraries, Dover is poised to play a significant role in the UK’s cruise sector for the 2025 season.
