Passenger Goes Missing from Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas During Cozumel Cruise
Mexican authorities are searching for Tynisha Williams, a 30-year-old American woman who went missing in Cozumel after disembarking from the Royal Caribbean ship, Radiance of the Seas, on February 17th. Tynisha did not return in time for the ship’s departure, prompting the shipping agency to report her absence on the same day.
However, it wasn’t until February 25th—eight days later—that the Harbor Master’s Office issued a Nautical Notice to the maritime community about her disappearance. This notice, encouraging anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to step forward, was signed by Captain Victor Manuel Lozano Jerezano, the ship’s Master.
Details about Tynisha’s companions or whether she participated in a guided tour remain unclear. Additionally, no information regarding the circumstances of her disappearance or any identifying photographs have been released. This incident is particularly alarming as it marks the second reported case of a tourist vanishing on Isla Cozumel in recent years. In 2024, a similar incident occurred, leading to a prolonged search by family members that ultimately yielded no results. The recurrence of these cases has raised concerns among both locals and tourists.
