Swan Hellenic Launches Exciting Antarctic Cruises for 2026-2027 Season

Swan Hellenic has unveiled its schedule for the 2026-2027 Antarctic cruise season, which includes 24 voyages spanning 9 to 13 nights, starting from Ushuaia, Argentina. Additionally, travelers can embark on a unique 20-night semi-circumnavigation journey from Cape Town, South Africa, to Ushuaia.

The highlight of this season is a series of round-trip expeditions from Ushuaia, offering five diverse itineraries that thoroughly explore the Antarctic Peninsula. Three of these itineraries will navigate through the Weddell Sea, famous for its pristine waters and historical connection to explorer Ernest Shackleton, whose ship, Endurance, famously sank in the area.

Among the special themed cruises is a 13-night journey on the SH Vega, celebrating both Christmas and New Year. Another notable offering is the 20-night semi-circumnavigation cruise aboard the SH Diana, which will visit remote locations such as Saint Helena, Ascension Island, Tristan da Cunha, and South Georgia Island – the final resting place of Shackleton.

A new addition for this cruise season is the opportunity for guests to participate in expert-led snowshoeing expeditions, designed to take participants further than standard landings. These excursions have a duration of approximately 1.5 hours and cater to both beginners and experienced adventurers, depending on weather conditions.

Swan Hellenic’s boutique ice-class vessels, the 5-star SH Vega and SH Diana, accommodate 152 and 192 guests, respectively. Although there are 24 departures scheduled, only 4,777 guest spots are available for the entire season, emphasizing the importance of booking early.
