Passenger Overboard Incident on Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas: What We Know

A search operation is ongoing for a woman who fell overboard from Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on the first day of "The 80s Cruise," approximately 80 miles (130 kilometers) east of Miami, Florida.

The ship’s Captain notified passengers about the situation via the public address system, and the crew quickly launched a speedboat to search for the missing woman. Additionally, two nearby vessels are assisting in the search effort.

Witnesses reported that the woman jumped from Deck 8 after an argument with her partner. The Explorer of the Seas is currently on a 7-day roundtrip itinerary from Miami, with stops in Nassau, San Juan, and Labadee.
