Royal Caribbean Extends Proposal Deadline for Bahamian Businesses at Royal Beach Club
Royal Caribbean International (RCI) has announced an extension for Bahamian businesses to submit proposals for involvement in the 17-acre Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island. The extension comes after a favorable response from local entrepreneurs keen to engage in the development, which is slated to open in late 2025.
The Royal Beach Club aims to weave Bahamian culture and services into its offerings, with opportunities available in various sectors including facilities maintenance, landscaping, local ticket sales, music and entertainment, beach activities, housekeeping, and the creation of a designated venue named "The Bunker."
Businesses selected to participate will join current local partners like Island Site Design, Bahamas Environmental Group, and several other consulting firms, all of which are essential to the project’s construction that commenced in April 2024.
The project is part of a public-private partnership model, enabling Bahamians to hold up to 49% equity in the venture, which aspires to combine the natural allure of The Bahamas with Royal Caribbean’s well-known hospitality and experiences.
