CroisiEurope Unveils Sustainable Luxury River Vessel for Amazon Adventures

Europe’s largest river cruise company, CroisiEurope, is set to launch a new 32-guest luxury river vessel in 2027. This marks the company’s entry into South American waters and is its first new ship since 2020.

The vessel, measuring 49 meters long and 15 meters wide, has been specially designed for navigating the Amazon River and its tributaries. It will be homeported in Manaus, Brazil, with itineraries lasting 12 days that explore various rivers including the Amazon, Rio Negro, Solimoes, Arapiuns, and Tapajos. There are also optional extensions available to the Colombian border.

The design of the ship incorporates sustainable wood elements and vibrant colors, featuring motifs that reflect the culture of the Amazon region. Accommodation includes 16 suites with private balconies, among which are two presidential suites that hover above the waterline. Onboard amenities will boast a gourmet restaurant offering Brazilian-inspired cuisine, a spa, fitness center, sun deck, and conference facilities.

CroisiEurope is prioritizing sustainability in its operations with hybrid energy systems, including solar panels and battery storage, allowing for generator-free operations during the night. The engines meet strict environmental standards, supported by advanced wastewater treatment systems. The ship will also promote local community engagement and biodiversity conservation, with programming designed to educate passengers and encourage them to act as environmental ambassadors after their voyage.
