CroisiEurope Unveils Plans for a Luxury Houseboat on the Amazon for 2027 Adventures

Europe’s largest river cruise line, CroisiEurope, is set to launch a luxurious 32-guest houseboat in 2027. This will be their inaugural venture into South American waters, with this vessel being their first newbuild since 2020.

Designed for the Amazon River and its tributaries, the 49-meter-long and 15-meter-wide ship will be based in Manaus, Brazil. It will offer 12-day itineraries exploring various rivers including the Amazon, Rio Negro, and Tapajos, with possible extensions to the Colombian border.

The houseboat will feature a design that incorporates sustainable materials, a vibrant color palette, and artistic elements inspired by Amazonian culture. Accommodations will have 16 suites, each with private balconies, comprising two upscale presidential suites positioned above the waterline. Amenities onboard will include a gourmet restaurant offering Brazilian cuisine, a spa, a fitness center, a sun deck, and facilities for conferences.

Sustainability is a core focus, achieved through hybrid energy solutions that combine solar panels with battery storage, allowing for generator-free nights. Engines will meet strict environmental standards, augmented by advanced wastewater treatment processes. The ship’s philosophy advocates for interaction with local communities, encouraging cultural exchange and biodiversity preservation initiatives, with educative experiences for passengers aimed at promoting environmental stewardship.
