International Travel Agents Discover Mein Schiff Relax on ‘Together at Sea’ Fam Trip

Between March 6th and 9th, over 150 international travel agents gathered for the ‘Together at Sea’ familiarization trip aboard TUI Cruises’ newest ship, the Mein Schiff Relax. This event marked the largest attendance of international agents for a Mein Schiff familiarization trip to date, attracting participants from various countries including Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia, and South Tyrol/Alto Adige in Italy.

The itinerary was packed with a mix of training sessions and entertainment activities. Agents experienced onboard tours, informative presentations, and participated in an interactive ship rally called ‘Relaxing Rocks Rally,’ where they explored the ship while competing for a chance to win a complimentary cabin for two. Evening events featured performances by guest artists such as Alex Christensen, DJ Mokaby, and Mitchy and Andre Katawaz, aligning with the ship’s ‘Relaxing rocks’ motto.

Feedback from attendees was highly positive. Karin Niehoff, Product Manager Cruises at TUI Nederland, mentioned that the bilingual nature of the project improves access to the Mein Schiff fleet for non-German-speaking guests. Ivar Mensink, Senior International Sales Manager for the Mein Schiff brand, noted the enthusiastic exploration of the ship by partners, highlighting that the ‘Relaxing rocks’ theme was brought to life in various ways. Clas Eckholt, Vice President Commercial at TUI Cruises, stated that the launch of the Mein Schiff Relax is a significant achievement, especially for international sales partners who stand to gain new opportunities. He expressed satisfaction in seeing over 150 non-German-speaking partners at the event, as firsthand experiences aboard the ship lay the groundwork for fruitful sales discussions.

The Mein Schiff Relax is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone (Italy) and will be christened on April 9th, 2025, in Malaga (Spain). The christening ceremony will feature an exclusive open-air concert by international music icon Robbie Williams, who acts as the ship’s feel-good ambassador.
