Regent’s Seven Seas Navigator to Launch as Crescent Seas’ Inaugural Residential Ship
Regent’s Seven Seas Navigator is set to undergo a significant transformation, becoming the first luxury residential yacht for Crescent Seas in 2026. This initiative is driven by Crescent Heights, a luxury real estate developer, as a way to extend residential options at sea.
Russell W. Galbut, a founding partner of Crescent Heights and veteran cruise industry investor, indicated that they chose Navigator for its design suitability for luxurious cruising accommodations. They have partnered with seasoned management teams to manage the ship’s operations during its initial decade.
Crescent Seas has secured an agreement to purchase the Seven Seas Navigator from Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NCLH). The ship will receive an extensive refurbishment that exceeds $50 million, collaborating with three design firms—Lissoni & Partners, Journey, and MAWD—to reimagine various aspects of the vessel.
Once revitalized, the Navigator will comprise 210 residential units priced between $750,000 and $8 million. Amenities will include high-end butler service and Starlink internet connectivity for residents who may wish to work or study remotely. Sales for these residences will begin on April 9th, with a gallery in Miami displaying the offerings. The ship’s inaugural voyage as a residential yacht is planned for December 2026.
In addition to the Seven Seas Navigator, Crescent Seas aims to launch four more luxury residential ships over the following five years. Residents will enjoy extended global expeditions with stops lasting 2 to 3 days in captivating destinations, including French Polynesia, the Faroe Islands, and Madagascar.
The transition also ensures that existing crew members will continue to operate the ships, maintaining high service levels. Hospitality will be overseen by The Apollo Group, known for its extensive experience in delivering superior dining and guest services in the cruise sector.
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, endorsed the agreement, recognizing the Navigator’s popularity among guests. He highlighted that the introduction of two new Prestige Class ships allows for a strategic fleet optimization, enabling the Navigator to continue delivering spectacular experiences at sea under its new ownership.
This move signifies a broader trend in luxury real estate, presenting affluent individuals with the chance to own oceanfront residences while indulging in the luxuries of world travel.
