Riviera Set to Launch in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific: What to Expect

Oceania Cruises has announced that its ship, Riviera, will embark on its inaugural season in Australia and New Zealand in late 2025. This series of voyages will mark a first for the cruise line, focusing on gourmet experiences amidst the stunning backdrop of the region.

Running from November 2025 to March 2026, the itineraries will vary in length from 14 to 35 days, allowing travelers to explore numerous ports and opportunities for pre- and post-cruise land programs.

Jason Montague, Oceania’s Chief Luxury Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the Riviera’s debut: “We are incredibly excited to bring the Riviera to Australia and New Zealand for the first time.” The ship boasts an acclaimed Culinary Center, a premier cooking school designated to showcase local culinary delights, including a new class aptly named “Down Under Abundance.”

Beyond the culinary offerings, Riviera features an Artist Loft for creative classes, mini golf, and extensive fitness and spa services.

• “Komodos & Kangaroos”: 22-day journey from Singapore to Sydney, with stops at Surabaya, Bali, and several Australian locations. (Departure: Nov. 18, 2025)

• “South Pacific Archipelagos”: 19 days from Sydney to Papeete, visiting beautiful locales including Bora Bora and Pago Pago. (Departure: Dec. 10, 2025)

• “Azure Atolls to Auckland”: 18 days starting from Papeete to Auckland, covering areas like Moorea and Rarotonga. (Departure: Jan. 6, 2026)

• “Maori Heritage Route”: 14 days from Auckland to Sydney, featuring stops in Rotorua, Wellington, and Melbourne. (Departure: Jan. 25, 2026)

• “Outback to Verdant Bali”: 14-day voyage from Sydney to Bali with visits to Brisbane and the Whitsunday Islands. (Departure: Feb. 8, 2026)

• “Melanesian Marvels”: This 21-day expedition goes from Bali to Sydney, featuring multiple South Pacific destinations. (Departure: Feb. 22, 2026)

• “Kiwi & Coral Seascapes”: A 21-day itinerary from Auckland to Singapore, incorporating several key cities along the way. (Departure: March 30, 2026)
