Robbie Williams Headlines the Christening of TUI’s Mein Schiff Relax in Málaga
On April 9, TUI Cruises celebrated the christening of their newest ship, the Mein Schiff Relax, at the Port of Málaga, marking the debut of their InTUItion class. The event was attended by over 12,000 guests, including passengers from the Mein Schiff 5 and Mein Schiff 7, who were also present to partake in the celebrations.
The ceremony featured a lively open-air concert by Robbie Williams, who is the wellness ambassador for the Mein Schiff Relax. Williams captivated the audience with a selection of his popular hits, adding excitement to the festive atmosphere. The highlight of the christening was the traditional breaking of a champagne bottle at the ship’s bow, which was accompanied by a vibrant light and stage show. Guests onboard all three Mein Schiff vessels enjoyed gourmet culinary experiences and entertainment throughout the event.
As the inaugural ship of TUI Cruises’ InTUItion class, the Mein Schiff Relax boasts innovative wellness-oriented features. Notably, it includes single balcony cabins specifically designed for solo travelers, along with various dining options, such as the Asian restaurant Fugu, which is curated by renowned chef Tim Raue.
During the summer of 2025, the Mein Schiff Relax will embark on 7- to 10-day voyages starting and ending in Palma de Mallorca. The itineraries will include stops in Italian cities like Rome (via Civitavecchia), La Spezia, and Naples, alongside Spanish destinations such as Valencia, Barcelona, Málaga, and Cádiz. Additionally, routes will feature interesting ports in France, Portugal, and Morocco, with select itineraries offering overnight stays in Palma for guests to explore the vibrant capital of Mallorca.
Looking ahead to the winter season of 2025-2026, the Mein Schiff Relax will shift its focus to the Canary Islands, where it will offer 7-day cruises starting from either Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, or Santa Cruz, Tenerife. These voyages promise the chance to discover the diverse cultural and natural landscapes of the Canary Islands.
