Princess Cruises Strengthens Southeast Asia Operations with Discovery and Diamond Ships

Princess Cruises has announced an exciting 6-day voyage on the Discovery Princess, set to depart from Singapore on October 28th. This journey will mark the ship’s first visit to Singapore and will include maiden calls at Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Penang, and Langkawi in Malaysia, with the cruise concluding back in Singapore on November 2nd.

Launched in March 2022, the Discovery Princess can host up to 3,660 passengers and more than 1,300 crew members, featuring over 1,800 staterooms, with more than 1,400 of those equipped with balconies, spanning 19 decks.

One of the ship’s standout features is the Princess 360 Experience, offering a unique 7-course, multi-sensory dining event exclusive to Discovery Princess and Enchanted Princess. This culinary experience combines regional cuisine with engaging storytelling and multimedia elements.

After the Southeast Asia voyage, the Discovery Princess will reposition to Sydney, Australia, to kick off her homeporting season from November 2025 through April 2026, presenting itineraries that explore Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

At the same time, Diamond Princess will start homeporting in Singapore on December 6th, offering 10- to 21-day roundtrips that will visit Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia. Notable highlights include a special 14-day Christmas and New Year cruise with stops in Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Sihanoukville (with excursions to Angkor Wat), Phuket, along with stops in Langkawi, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur. A 21-day Southeast Asia Grand Adventure cruise will blend two itineraries across Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, featuring onboard festivities to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The Diamond Princess will conclude her Southeast Asia season with a repositioning cruise to Japan in February 2026, followed by an extensive Japan schedule through November 2026, providing 50 sailings across various itineraries.
