Swan Hellenic Announces Record-Breaking Antarctic Season for 2024–2025
Swan Hellenic has announced a successful conclusion to its 2024–2025 Antarctic expedition season, experiencing a significant 25% increase in guest participation and a 35% rise in net revenue compared to the previous season. The company welcomed nearly 3,000 guests, with stateroom occupancy nearing 90%.
This season saw the introduction of guided snowshoeing excursions, allowing guests to venture into uncharted snowy terrains outside of standard landing sites. These approximately 90-minute excursions, led by two seasoned mountaineers, were extremely popular and are expected to be a staple in future itineraries, dependent on snow conditions.
Looking ahead, Swan Hellenic has revealed its 2025–2026 Antarctic program, which includes 12 cultural expedition cruises ranging from 9 to 20 nights aboard the SH Vega and SH Diana. The inaugural voyage is set to depart from Buenos Aires on November 14, 2025, and the final departure will be from Ushuaia on March 17, 2026.
Chief Commercial Officer Patrizia Iantorno credited the season’s success to high levels of guest satisfaction with the itineraries, onboard expertise, expedition guides, culinary experiences, and crew. Iantorno noted that many guests have been so pleased that they are recommending Swan Hellenic to their friends and family, with a notable number returning for additional voyages. The company remains committed to enhancing the guest experience, as highlighted by the addition of snowshoeing expeditions.
