Windstar Unveils Stunning Interior Concepts for Star Seeker’s Dining and Lounge Venues
Windstar Cruises has unveiled initial designs for the interior spaces of its upcoming ship, Star Seeker, marking the brand’s first purpose-built vessel in the Star Class category. With a capacity of 224 passengers, the superyacht is set to embark on its inaugural voyage in December 2025 and will be officially named in Miami on January 15, 2026.
The latest renderings highlight three major dining and social venues on board: Amphora Restaurant, the Main Lounge, and the Yacht Club. These areas are crafted to serve dual purposes, adapting from casual daytime settings to vibrant evening atmospheres to encourage guest interaction.
Amphora Restaurant will be the main dining venue, featuring both buffet and à la carte breakfast and lunch options, transitioning to a more formal dinner setting with ocean views and multi-course meals. As part of Windstar’s collaboration with the James Beard Foundation, it will offer exclusive dishes from affiliated chefs. The layout accommodates spontaneous dining experiences without requiring reservations.
Another dining option, Basil + Bamboo, presents a blend of Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. Interestingly, unlike many other cruise lines, this venue won’t carry a surcharge, although reservations for evening dining are encouraged due to limited seating.
The Yacht Club serves as a flexible lounge and refreshment hub, providing premium coffee and light bites during the day and transforming into a relaxed cocktail lounge at night, featuring live music.
The Navigator Lounge functions as a multi-use gathering space hosting enrichment programming, port briefings, and guest lectures during the day, while serving as a venue for live entertainment and performance in the evenings. A crew talent show is also a highlight of the voyages.
Guests can enjoy outdoor dining at Star Grill, an open-air venue specialized in grilled meats and fresh seafood, also offered without an additional fee. In-room dining is available 24/7, with the full dinner menu from Amphora provided for in-suite cuisine.
According to Stijn Creupelandt, Windstar’s Chief Operating Officer, the design of Star Seeker exemplifies the company’s ambition to enhance the Star Class experience. Each aspect of the ship’s design has been carefully considered to facilitate a flexible guest experience while maintaining the brand’s identity of casual luxury.
After its Caribbean debut, Star Seeker will embark on a variety of itineraries, including summer trips to Alaska and explorations of Japanese ports as well as lesser-known coastal regions of Thailand and Vietnam. The ship is anticipated to embody a modern interpretation of Windstar’s established fleet, expanding its offerings through innovative design and strategic itinerary choices.
