Windstar Reveals Innovative Interior Concepts for Star Seeker’s Dining and Lounge Venues

Windstar Cruises has announced an exciting preview of the interior spaces for the upcoming Star Seeker, its first dedicated Star Class vessel, set to embark on its maiden voyage in December 2025. This 224-passenger superyacht will be officially named in Miami on January 15, 2026, boasting newly designed public areas that combine functionality and beauty, while upholding the unique intimacy that Windstar is known for.

The newly released designs reveal three key social and dining venues: the Amphora Restaurant, the Main Lounge, and the Yacht Club. These spaces are versatile, adapting from daytime to evening uses to foster interaction and comfort.

Amphora Restaurant will be the main dining venue, featuring both buffet and à la carte breakfast and lunch options, transitioning to a refined dining experience with ocean views and multi-course meals at dinner. Partnering with the James Beard Foundation, the restaurant will showcase exclusive dishes crafted by affiliated chefs, and it will not require reservations for dinner, allowing guests the flexibility of spontaneous dining.

The specialty venue, Basil + Bamboo, will blend Mediterranean and Asian cuisines, included in the standard fare—a departure from the customary surcharge many cruise lines impose. Evening reservations are recommended to ensure an intimate dining experience due to limited seating.

The Yacht Club will serve as a multi-functional lounge, offering premium coffee and light fare during the day, and transforming into a relaxed cocktail lounge with live music in the evenings.

Additionally, the Navigator Lounge will function as the main gathering space for enrichment programs, presentations, and evening entertainment, including live performances and the traditional crew talent show.

Offering outdoor dining, the Star Grill will provide a casual, open-air setting for enjoying grilled meats, fresh seafood, and vegetables without any extra charges. Guests can also enjoy a 24-hour room service menu featuring a selection from Amphora’s dinner offerings.

Stijn Creupelandt, Windstar’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that Star Seeker’s design reflects a commitment to evolving the Star Class experience, balancing flexibility and the line’s casual yet upscale identity.

After its initial Caribbean debut, Star Seeker will sail a variety of itineraries, including summer trips to Alaska, and later operations in East Asia, where it will visit Japanese ports and lesser-known coastal areas of Thailand and Vietnam.
