Couples planning a romantic getaway can look forward to exciting new experiences on Celebrity Cruises’ next ship, the Celebrity Xcel, set to launch in November 2025. The cruise line has revealed an innovative dining and entertainment concept focused on enhancing quality time for guests, branding it as “Date Night, All Day Long.”

Michael Scheiner, the Chief Marketing Officer of Celebrity Cruises, emphasized the importance of reconnecting with loved ones, stating, "Reconnecting with loved ones over new experiences is important to Celebrity guests." The Celebrity Xcel aims to create their "happy place" with fresh dining options and a broad spectrum of entertainment, designed for endless opportunities for couples to bond.

At the heart of this dining concept is Bora, an al-fresco restaurant inspired by Mediterranean cuisine. During the day, Bora will serve a lively brunch featuring dishes like shakshuka eggs and croissant eggs benedict, complemented by what Celebrity Cruises boasts as the "best Bloody Mary bar at sea." In the evening, the venue transforms into a more intimate space with a chef-led dinner experience offering seafood-forward dishes.

Beyond dining, the Celebrity Xcel will showcase the line’s most extensive entertainment program to date, introducing three new theatrical shows, live music, interactive experiences, and themed dance parties, all powered by a cast of performers larger than ever before.

As construction progresses at the Chantiers d’Atlantique shipyard in France, the ship has floated out and is expected to undergo sea trials in September 2025. It will be delivered earlier than previously anticipated, embarking on a 4-night preview cruise on November 9, 2025, followed by its inaugural cruise on November 18, 2025.

During its inaugural Caribbean season from Fort Lauderdale, Celebrity Xcel will alternate 7-night itineraries to various destinations, including the Bahamas and Mexico, with plans to shift to European waters in Summer 2026 for Mediterranean voyages featuring overnight stays in places like Madeira, Portugal.
