MSC Adjusts Euribia Itineraries: Geiranger No Longer Included

MSC Cruises has announced that it will be removing several stops in Geiranger from upcoming itineraries aboard the MSC Euribia set for May 2025. This decision follows concerns about safety in the region’s fjords due to unpredictable weather conditions and the risk of avalanches.

In an official statement to affected guests, MSC clarified that the original plan included a brief stop in Hellesylt for disembarkation on excursions before heading to Geiranger. However, this stop will now be replaced with an extended stay in Hellesylt, promoting new and enhanced shore excursions in that area.

The revised itineraries will still allow guests to explore other Norwegian destinations, such as Flåm, Ålesund, and Molde, during the seven-night cruises departing from Kiel and Copenhagen. The impacted sailings are scheduled for May 3, May 10, and May 17, 2025.

MSC emphasized that guest safety remains a top priority, and they sincerely apologized for any inconvenience the changes might cause. Guests who had planned excursions in Geiranger will be provided with options for alternative activities or the choice to cancel their reservations for a full refund onboard.

Currently, the MSC Euribia is on its way to Northern Europe after completing its first winter season in the Middle East. The ship is repositioning to the region without any guests, navigating through Africa and the Atlantic.
