Unveiling the Star OTS: RCI-Royal Caribbean’s Latest ICON Ship with Exciting New Entertainment and Dining Experiences

Royal Caribbean International has unveiled exciting details about its upcoming vessel, the Star of the Seas, which is set to begin operations from Port Canaveral in August 2025. As the second ship in the ICON Class series, Star OTS promises to elevate the cruise experience with a diverse range of entertainment and dining options.

Guests can look forward to an impressive lineup of five signature performances that will take place across various venues, incorporating elements of stage, air, water, and ice. A standout feature is the debut of Back to the Future: The Musical, a live adaptation of the beloved film that will include music, choreography, and special effects designed to offer a captivating theatrical experience at sea.

Additionally, the entertainment schedule will feature Create, a Royal Theater production about a robot named KRE-8, exploring the concept of creativity. The AquaTheater will host Pirates & Mermaids, a family-friendly story that combines dance, artistic swimming, and diving. Another AquaTheater show, Torque, will showcase athletic talents in a dynamic performance involving synchronized swimming and slacklining. For ice show enthusiasts, the Absolute Zero ice arena will present SOL, narrating the sun’s journey with stunning stunts and visuals.

The culinary experience on Star OTS is just as impressive, boasting over 40 dining and drinking venues. An exclusive feature is the AquaDome Market, which will include five food stands with three new dining concepts: Pig & Anchor Smokehouse, offering delicious smoked pork and beef; Mai Thai, serving a variety of Southeast Asian dishes; and La Cocinita, featuring popular South American fare such as empanadas and arepas.

In addition, the ship will debut the Lincoln Park Supper Club in the Central Park neighborhood, inspired by the dining culture of 1930s Chicago, complete with multi-course meals paired with live jazz music. Other dining highlights include Chops Grille, known for its premium steaks; Izumi Hibachi & Sushi for Japanese cuisine; and the Celebration Table, perfect for special occasions.

Star of the Seas will operate week-long itineraries in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, including stops at Royal Caribbean’s private island, CocoCay. Starting in December 2025, the ship will also make visits to the Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island, offering guests a variety of beach experiences.
